Using SIP and 106FA, Ultrafina on swirl-free finish??

I am mostly done using my PC with SIP, 106FA, and Ultrafina to remove nasty swirls on my truck. The result is amazing as I have a definate reduction in orange peel, too. Would those steps also benefit my Acura MDX which has a perfect finish in making it "clearer" by reducing the orange peel, too? Or would I be doing unnecessary work?

I don't think those products would remove the orange peel. That might require leveling the paint with a rotary, compound, and wool pad. Maybe even wetsanding.

Any pros want to chime in?

for your MDX and for polising in general it's best to achieve the results you are looking for with minimum removal of paint. so the SIP/106/UF combo would be overkill especially if the marring/swirling is minimal. If your MDX has minimal swirling and/or is a light colored vehicle you could get by by mixing 106 with UF and do a 1 step polish.

If a finish is already marring-free, the most I'd do is a little burnishing/jeweling, which might improve the appearance a little bit. I sure wouldn't start over from scratch with aggressive stuff in an attempt to reduce OP; as noted, clearcoats are thin enough as is.
