Using pc pads on rotary?

Well I was wondering if theres any difference using pc pads on the rotary versus 7.5~8 in rotary pads? From my search i did find a couple of threads on this topic but answers seemed vague. I have a crap load of pads for the pc and I just don't want to go out and buy more pads for the rotary when I could just buy a backing plate to accomodate pc pads. Will I get the same results using pc pads vs the large rotary pads? Any input would be great.
 
To my knowledge there is no problem whatsoever. As a matter of fact, that's all I generally use.



The disadvantage is that they are smaller so it may take a bit more time to do the job. The advantage is that I find it rotary easier to control with the 6" pads and I also get a whole lot less sling.
