hey guys,

tomorrow ill be trying out the SwirlX by meguiar with a UDM machine, did anyone try it yet? hows the results? im not looking for a 100% swirl correction, i just really want to get rid of atleast 50% of the swirls out. what speed setting should i use? i will be using a 5.5 inch Orange CCS Smart Pad.

thanks alot!

Im going to be doing the same thing this weekend. Swirlx with pc7424. Im going to start out with a white lc pad on speed 4.5-5. Might go to an orange pad if need be.

others will give you sound advice, that is just how I am going to do it

A lot of it will depend on what kind of paint you have. I was using it with my G110 on the big Meg's Polishing pad, with some success, but I had to really work it hard. With a smaller, more cutting pad, it should work very well. What sort of car will it be on? My car has the super hard GM clearcoat, so if your car has a softer clear you might not need to put a lot of gusto into it.

Here's some things I learned about using it. if you think you've worked it in well enough, give it another pass or two, this stuff really works a long time. And if you don't get it worked out enough, it'll leave a splotch that you seriously cannot buff off. Scared the hell out of me tbh, I thought I screwed something up, but after hitting it with another quick pas or 2 it cleared up.

I've been itching to get myself some smaller more aggressive ads (probably oranges) and maybe some of the Ultimate Compound to see how that all works.
