Using less water?

So....Back to the subject "Using less water?"

We had a pretty good exchange of ideas and opinions going until some of us managed to get things somewhat off-topic. Hey, I was as guilty as anyone! :D

My experience with waterless or low water use, (Rinseless), products has been quite good. On my personal vehicles, they have almost entirely replaced my bucket washing. It is definitely my choice for winter washing and most of my warm weather washing as well.
I do sometimes use a hose and bucket to thoroughly clean wheels and wheel wells. I will often use a high pressure stream from the hose to rinse off loose dirt, but the actual washing is usually done with either S&W or DP 4 in 1. In fact I have two new ShMitts and a new sheepskin mitt that have never been removed from the packaging.

Charles...I'm guilty for off topic...however I have done the same with S&W...I only bucket wash my car once a month and that's to get at the rims & wells...even then if the car is not that bad I use the S&W to finish...the water here is hard and makes spots on the car so the S&W helps to take that away..but like troy said if I am doing a customers car its full blown bucket and hose...however I am fixed location and no restriction on water or runoff

It was Troy's fault :notme:

but I fell into the trap and I always did want a Ginsu:surrender

I have done many customers cars using little to no water for many years including National show winners and cars worth well over $500K :rockon
