Using Forever Black kit question

The kit contains cleaner and conditioner (color dyer). I skipped the cleaning part and went straight to apply conditioner, because the car just washed and didn't want to mess around with the bucket. Do you think I am okay?

On some surfaces the two products didn't do jack

All that happened was the dye left streaks that were damn hard to remove

I recommend it for use on hard plastics only, soft vinyl, rubber and plastic trims it will just streak

The only product I have read about here that didn't pass the test

Everything else is awesome

I think if they supply a 2 part system .. I'd use both parts .. I know their tire gel works great on my tectured lower trim .. I have used it for a couple of years now.

Yeah this product wasn't very good. It just streaked and then a few weeks later it just started to flake off. I used the cleaner as the instructions suggested to provide a good base for the dye. It didn't help. I have tried at least 5 times now and the results are no better.

I am using this on the black plastic between the windshield and hood where the wipers sit. I just purchased a product called Bumper Black at a local shop and I'm going to give this a try. I also purchased some adhesive promoter for plastic that I will apply to the clean surface before I apply the dye. One thing for sure it can't turn out any worse than the Forever Black did.
