Using Air Pressure

Just One More Coat
Until recently I had not used my air compressor much....no real reason...so some months back started using it to blow out various things on the car before I would start cleaning...I have to say that I use it lot more now than I had even given thought to.....

Today while getting ready for a vacation camping trip...I was cleaning up a fan and used it to blow out all the dust on the motor and fan blades....after the dust settled:wow:....it was as good as new...and the time that it took me was nil

made the rest of the cleaning go faster...

Anyone else using there air for starters...

I would really like to try a air rotary they look light and very easy to use....but I don't have that big a AC its a small Sears thing for tires and so forth

I use a AC for blowing things out from under seats and areas i cant get to with a brush and such. Also to when i get done washing i blow out the water in the tight areas where water always drips from. I have a pneumatic 3"polisher for scratches which works awesome. I have used a pneumatic buffer. Very very light and a breeze to use. Kinda hard to set your RPM's tho. I only have a 10 gal i got from sears also but it does the trick for now.

For blowing out the car of water I use my leaf blower but for inside my AC is the trick

I use it for everything...blowing out the vents...getting the excess water out of crevices...I though about trying a rotary air polisher, thinking that would be nice no plug...but the I forgot oh yeha theres a hose. Also I lifted one and while it it seemed slightly smaller, the weight felt the same...Also like you said you need a decent sized compressor with a alot of power to run one of those.

we always used air to blow out cars at the body shop.
there was so much dust from the repairs that it was needed ...it can also get into crevices under and between seats that hands can't reach ...be careful blowing into vents though, as that much pressure could put holes or disconnect the tubes. It could also break the inside vents that open and close to change where the air blows ...low pressure should be used for a/c / heat vents ...;)

I have a 33 gal AC that I like to use on the nooks and crannies of doors, side view mirrors, honey comb grills, moldings, door handles, etc. I haven't used it too much on the interior of the car but I may have to do so in the future. It's nice that I can rotate the tires with an impact wrench almost as fast as a pit stop...

I've been looking at those polishers, Harbor Freight has a few for a decent price...
