USAA member??

Drove by a detail shop yesterday in MI and noticed that they advertised that they were a USAA member and certified. Anybody ever heard of this and know anything about it?
 
USAA is a car insurance company. I don't know how that would tie into a detail shop if they're talking about that particular USAA.

Just a detail shop?



I know USAA has body shops that they call Five Star Certified. Basically, if you are a USAA memeber and take your car to a USAA Five Star Certified Shop for a covered repair then USAA will stand behind the repairs that the shop made for as long as the policy holder owns the car. Not just whatever warranty the shop offers.



I've dealt with two of their Five Star shops, and now I'll avoid any shop USAA recommends to me... long stories I won't bore you with.
