Looking to purchase a spray wax for those days when i dont have alot of time. I purchased Poorboys QD+ and personally dont like it. Ive heard so many good things about OCW ive been meaning to try it. I love UPP and now that UPPS has been released I cant decided which to get. Maybe ill just get both and try myself but what is everyone else opinion. Chris

The UPPS is as yet untested by most Autopians, so here's a chance for you to publish a review and let everyone know if it matches or passes OCW.

Ooh, get both:) so you can do side-by-side comparos...

Good luck!

The one review that I saw of UPPS said that it didn't have the slickness the the regular UPP. That's one of the main reasons why I use UPP. If the spray doesn't provide that, I don't really want it. The review also said that the flake pop didnt seem as vibrant as the liquid UPP. This is another reason why I use UPP. I suppose UPPS is more of a booster than a true stand-alone LSP.

OCW is a great product. It literally takes me 5-10 minutes to do my entire car. Spray a few times into a towel, wipe the panel, and turn the towel over and give the panel a quick swipe with the dry side of the towel. It leaves a very slick finish and really provides depth and some wetness. I haven't used it as a stand-alone LSP yet, but on my car it rejuvenated the 3-4 week old souveran application to like-new status. I was highly impressed with its ease of use and looks. So much so, I bought a gallon :D

My only complaint with OCW is that sometimes I feel a little resistance when my MF towel gets a little damp. Maybe I haven't perfected the application of it yet. I love everything else about it, especially the smell!

The review of UPPS I saw wasn't exactly fair, since it wasn't allowed to cure in the sun like the directions indicate. When it cures, it is supposed to get slicker and look better. I'm still going to try it since I have been extremely satisfied with UPP. It is one of my favorite sealants and I seem to be getting much better durability than most for some reason.

I posted a review that sounded like that.

On initial application, slickness does not match regular UPP.

I did make it very clear that it had not had enough time to fully cure, and I don't know how the finish would/could be after 24 hours.

I definitely do thing it is a great complementary product like Z8 or HGAS.

For the moment I prefer OCW, but PAC does have a Christmas offer ... buy UPP and get UPPS free. I'd say UPP+UPPS > OCW. You can't go wrong with either.

PAC has UPPS free when you buy UPP. :xyxthumbs

I would get that and some OCW, then you can write up a nice comparision. :D

OCW -

Tried and tested, well respected product, product line and brand. Compatibility is pretty well known.

UPPS -

Brand new product, well respected product line and brand. Compatibility not yet known.

These were my pros & cons that I recently explored, and I ended up getting OCW. This was exceptionally tuff for me to do since I absolutely love UPP, UPC and UGE, but, I figured that I'll let some others be the testers and then next summer I'll pick up some UPPS if our fellow Autopians give it the thumbs up.
