Unscheduled surgery tomorrow morning!

My crazy life...

I'm driving home from PBMG and feel this SHARP pain in my chin today and kind of a weird internal pressure. When I was younger I broke my jaw and had the chin bolted together with titanium bolts (more on this later). So I get home and the pain had only gotten worse. I pick up my son and go get an appointment with my doctor. By this point my chin has become 'hot' to the touch and is killing me.

An x-ray and a call to plastic surgeon later it is determined that 1 of the bolts has come lose! This is the first time that the surgeon has heard of this. But I'm in luck, tomorrow is surgery day and they will meet me early (6 AM). A wild run around town to get lab work (they have to put me under because the bolt is behind the muscle which has to be cut) and I think I am scheduled for the fastest surgery.

My other option was to wait a week, which means I would still be recovering and it would put SEMA at risk. The show must go on, so I'll be on here tomorrow, but likely a little loopy.

Thanks for the warm wishes. It is a minor procedure and the upside is, besides being a little pain (apparently they have to go in through the inside of my mouth, cut the muscle, unscrew the loose screw, and patch me back up) I really am AMAZINGLY lucky that they can schedule this on short notice. Less than 24 hours notice!

I will be back and posting today. I don't have a choice, I have a lot of products to write copy for before SEMA! I have goals to meet .

Probably too late for this but since a plastic surgeon is on the case perhaps you could have him do a few other adjustments. Maybe their version of a cut n buff?
