undercarriage question

Hey all,

I have been experimenting on cleaning and detailing the undercarriage of my 4x4. I bought some Meguiars Hyper Dressing to give it a try and I have to say I was not overly impressed? I mixed it 4:1 and it did look good but it seems to wash right off. (And I bought a full gallon.. ouch!) ha..ha..

I have used "No Touch" tire spray in the past on another vehicle and I may just go back to that. Anyone else ever used this? Do you guys think this stuff is ok for undercarriage parts & Frame?

Also, I bought some Meguiars APC and that stuff is fantastic! I really like it. I used it on the wheels, engine compartment as well as a couple spots on the carpet and door panels. Wow, it works good. I have not tried it on the suspension or undercarriage yet.

Last thing... I NEED a pressure washer. I would like to find one in the $300~$400 price range, any suggestions?

Thanks again to all,

Use CG Bare bones will give you that nice black matte finish on the undercarrage, but youll have to redo it every so often

A clean undercarriage on a 4x4 means your not using it correctly!

Ha...ha.. now thats funny! Yea I'm kind of anal about my vehicles being clean. I do take it offroad once in a while, but I try to stay out of the mud. But thats not a problem here in dry Arizona. So it mostly just gets dusty.

HD is water based so it's not going to last very long, and if you want a little more shine dilute it 3:1 or 2:1 (i never really use it at 4:1 too flat looking for my taste)...

For an undercarriage dressing I've been pretty impressed with Adam's Undercarriage Spray. Mine has held up for over a month of rain now in my wheel wells. I'm a bit confused though why they had to make it smell like bad grape drink. :(

On a different note...is anyone else having trouble posting new threads?
