[UK] Restoring exterior trim pieces

Would anyone have any highly recommended exterior trim reconditioner thats avaliable to buy in the UK?



Wax residue and wear has seriously gotten bad on the Integra, and due to the car being black they really show out.



Been trying to get hold of Forever Black, but there doesnt seem to be a UK supplier.

for the wax itself have you tried some machine/engine oil and rubbed it in? its worked wonders for me in the past but unfortunately as for wear and tear i cant recommend anything.

Autoglyms Bumper Shine seems to work well at removing wax etc. If the material is bleached I dont think there is a huge amount that can be done - but I could be wrong.



I have a vague memory of someone having luck with something like Peak polish, which is a mild chemical cleaner.

there is nothing better for this than Auto Glym Bumper Care



trust me on this one, its superb, it will go straight over polish marks with ease !

I find that APC+ well rubbed in with a sponge removes polish/wax stains. You may have to go over the area a few times, but it does permantly remove the wax residue. Then just use your favourite dressing to protect them.

I'm sure you have access to peanut butter -- though perhaps it's not your national dish. Run this search and be prepared to be shocked.

try mothers tire and rubber cleaner when washing the car on the plastic trim if you have a old nail brush scrub trim when washing then when completely dry use mothers black to black with a couple of treatments it will look good as new.i used this on my 90k renault van looks as good as new also great on tyres

Hmmmm ... Well, then, all the other mfrs we've tried can just close up shop and everybody can quit searching for the Holy Grail. "Blue-light special on the Auto Glym Bumper Care aisle, guys! Save the women and children!!"
