Ugh!.. Dirty swirly Explorer

I did this Ford explorer for my boss this past weekend. Overall the truck was in pretty rough shape. Clearcoat failure on hood and roof, lots of swirls, and some bad etching down to the primer, ouch!



- pressure wash

- NXT wash with sheepskin X 2

- Clay with claymagic / Long Haul QD

- Long Haul Degreaser in wells / jambs

- Megs Wheel brightener 4:1 on wheels / Megs ultra safe wheel brush and soft face brush

- Long Haul Truck Gloss in jams



- HOOD-SSR3 yellow / SSR2.5 orange / SSR1 white pc speed 6

- SSR2.5 orange, SSR1 white for rest of truck (4in pads used in trouble areas)

- poorboys pro polish on textured black trim (buffed with 4in white on pc)

- Poorboys trim restore on the rest of trim

- natty's blue topper

- no touch tire foam in wells

- 303 aerospace protectant on tires and interior plactics



Interior process

- wipedown with woolite 10:1 on all interior surfaces

- folex full strengh on all interior stains

- folex 5:1 on rest of carpets

- extract with bottle of hot water and RIDGID 4550

- EO ammonia free glass cleaner on windows

- 303 on plastics

yeah, actually he took the deflector off before I started. It had all kinds of nasties stuck under it , but polished out really nice. I am polishing the deflector and he is putting it back on though.
