Ufc. Silva finished?

Great fight.... Weidman was winning, easily, until that point.. but then again, Silva has lost a lot of first rounds and come back to dominate... (Lutter, Henderson and Chael stand out).. However, even in the second, Weidman looked in control. His footwork, in-and-out fighting, and pressure were working beautifully... Not to mention that he was checking just about every kick Silva threw...

I would have liked to see the fight play out, but ultimately it is what it is.

i dont think hes done but he will hesitate to throw leg kicks and will take a little over a year to get in the cage. With his age late 30's i think it'll be closer to a year and a half or 2 years

But here's the thing..

Silva is like Roy Jones Jr... Amazing athletes who got away with things that other's couldn't because of their god-given ability... Cat-like reflexes and bundles and bundles of fast-twitch muscle fiber...

When Roy Jones Jr. lost that 1/1000th of a second, he was doomed. Keep in mind, that as a champion, he was far more dominate that Anderson Silva. He probably didn't lose a round for 4-5 years! Once father time caught him, so did his opponents.

Anderson Silva has lost that 1/1000th. Once performance falls off, it falls off fast. He will be 40 next time he enters the cage, have plenty of ring rust, be much slower (athletically), and coming off a devastating injury. I think its time for him to hang up the gloves.
