This is a video I think I first saw here but couldn't find again so I decided it was important enough to re-post.   The video deals with different machines with the intention of showing how NOT to polish.  The purpose was to show how to burn paint, create a failure.  He uses a hood that's all ready  pretty beat up.

As hard as he tries to fail, I have to wonder, how honestly effective at removing real defects are some of the machines he demonstrates.
