Two Questions

On my older car I have been using a product known as "Liquid Glass." The initial application required the use of a cleaner to remove the carbuba wax that I had previously used.



Liquid Glass consists of aliphatic hydrocarbons, amino polymers, UV sunscreen inhibitors. There are NO silcones or waxes.



Question 1: I am using Klasse on my other car and would like to use it on the older car as well. Must I remove the Liquid Glass first before applying the Klasse?



Question 2: What exactly is the difference between "coated" leather and "uncoated" leather seats?

I can;t comment on Liquid Glass, but the leather question I can help with.



Most new cars today have coated leather. This basically means that it was dyed and coated. It's almost like spray painting the dye onto the surface of the leather as opposed to vat dyeing, where the leather is "dunked".



Coated leather is supposed to be better suited to automotive use where temperature extremes, etc, take their toll.



To find out what you have...you could place a drop of water on the leather...if it sinks in...it's uncoated. If it beads and runs off...it's coated.



Coated leather requires different care, and you'd want to avoid anything containing petroleum, or silicones. Zaino's leather treatment is good, and some folks use 303 on their coated leather.

Klasse AIO (All-In-One) contains solvent cleaners that will remove the Liquid Glass sealant
