Two Klasse Questions please

Question 1 - I haven't Klasse'd my Reatta Roadster in over a year. It has been under a car cover almost the entire time and under a carport when not covered.....water beads as if I had applied Klasse yesterday. If it passes the sandwhich bag test, would it still be necessary to use AIO or could I just apply a couple coats of Klasse Glaze please?

Question 2 - I jsut finished reading the new Klasse application guide on the home page of the forum. The instructions state to let the Glaze dry before buffing. I have been using the wipe on, wipe off method and am curious if the forum population in the whole suggests the method of drying first or the Wipe on/wipe off method please.

Thanks,

Nic

as far as I know the sandwhich bag test is to see if you need to clay

I look at it this way AIO is very easy to use and the SG might not blond as well/last as long if you don't use it so why not

people use both methods (I like WOWO) if you let it dry and don't have a razzor thin layer it can be very hard to remove

best of luck

I would use the AIO, just to 'clean up' anything on the surface, before using the SG.

For me, I started using SG by letting it haze, then used WOWO. After starting WOWO, I never went back. I even went so far as to make up a 1:6 mixture, and used this as a 'top-up' after each wash (like a quick detailer) - to ensure that the paint had a fresh coat of protection each week.

I've never heard of this sandwich bag test before, what do you do, and what does it test for? The only test I've seen on here is to rub a fresh CD with a microfiber to see if it scratches the CD, and if it does then don't use that microfiber towel on your car's paint.

i believe the sandwich bag test goes something like this: you put your hand inside the bag and then place the bag (with ur hand inside) and lightly rub your fingers across the paint to see if there are bumps and stuff like that on the paint.

if there are bumps, that means there are surface contaminates on it and one way of getting rid of them is to clay bar them off.

Also, not to thread jack this but after you use Klasse all in one and then the sealant glaze, is it possible to apply a wax like p21s and if so, how long does the sealant have to cure? thanks

As mentioned in The Perfect Shine article, Klasse AIO / SG / P21S is well-known combo. People generally recommended a 24-hour cure time for Klasse SG.

Geeze folks...I was never notified I had any replies to this post as this forum used to do....I had figured that there were no replies :(...did the forum quite doing this or do I not have something set right in my programming??

Anyway, thanks for the replies...most helpful, answered my questions, and grateful/appreciated :)
