Two handed wash method

Last night I was checking out autogeeks site and was looking at the shmitt section. On the page there is a guy with a Shmitt on each hand washing a car.

After some thought I'm intrigued by this method. It seems like you could cover much more ground faster by using two hands. Less strain on the back when doing the side panels. (Karate Kid moment......Wax on Wax off Daniel San) The only draw back would be when you need to rinse you have to pull off at least one mitt.

Anyone else out there use the two hands method?

I have a shmitt and like it OK but I really prefer my heavy duty wool mitt...as for two hands I don't see the advantage, seeing how you still need to take one off to rinse as you stated...also when I wash a car I am rarely in a hurry...I can go down the side of a car pretty fast one hand on the bucket...the other with has the mitt in it....drop that and rinse head for the next side of the car....

I've always washed my vehicles with a wool wash mitt (sea sponge) in each hand. ShMitts work the same way. I usually hold the mitts in my hands rather than put them on my hands. I think I would feel lopsided holding only one having used this method for so many years. :rofl

Like I said I'm just curious if anyone else does this.

I'm also efficient and keep my car relatively clean. I may try it as I've got another mitt.

Sometimes I just want to do a quick wash Soap, rinse, water blade...go.

This might help cut time....or be more cumbersome.

I think like gearhead said if you get use to it...it becomes easier...for me I'm a one hander:D

I'm a one hander as well. I don't feel that I'd be saving myself that much more time and I can pay attention to one hand better than both. I'd rather take my time with one hand and get a thorough wash than get it done 5-10 minutes quicker and miss a few spots.
