trying to revive my WW towels

I have some towels that are over a year old now, and have seen many normal wwashing machine washes...some meguiars, and some pakshak



i have heard you can boil them and bring them back to life, but for how long and with any ingredients??? like vinegar?



the towels are a little stiff and they seem to be scratching the paint when I use them, so lately I have been delegating these to wheels and jam duty

boil for 10-15 min in plain water

then machine wash with vinegar in the final rinse

+1 on these suggestions. I definitely wouldn't want to boil vinegar.
