Trunk Faded New Some Advice

So a few months ago my trunk turned into this:

I have tried to compound it and than waxed it, it turned back to normal for a few weeks. Than it came back looking like this. It feels like sandpaper when I rub my hand over it. I'm now sure if the South Florida sun has any effect on this.



Any advice on how to fix this please let me know!
