True Story

So I leave for school this morning, back into my spot, go into class, my first block, everything is cool, my 2nd block the girl who parks next to me informs me the when she opened her door this morning the wind caught it and it left a scratch on the side of my door, I hoped that she was joking. But after school when I went out there there was a huge mark on my door where she had hit it. This is what it looked like, I couldn't get sufficient light in my garage so I made the picture a little brighter so you could see it.

So I go home, wipe clean the area, use my Clearkote Vanilla Moose hand glaze on the scratch, helps SO MUCH. Then I apply my Carnauba Moose Wax, let it haze for about 10 minutes, take it off with a Microfiber towel, and Viola...

Nice! I think VM wax is the next item I buy to try as an alternative to P21s

VM is a light polish, not a wax. It does leave behind fillers though IIRC.

I'm glad to see that you were able to get rid of the scratch/scuff so easily.

Nice! Man I miss that, Ford's metal is thicker than Toyota/Lexus'. I never had one ding on my Explorer, its 8 years old with 165,000 miles. Had some transfers like that I was able to polish off. My Lexus is 2 years old with 40k miles, and its had 4 dings removed. No difference in the style of parking. (actually the Explorer was parked at my high school lot!) You bump the Lexus with anything and it dings. Once an acorn fell off a tree in my driveway while I was washing and dented the roof, that was $250 (remove and install headliner etc). My dad had 5 or 6 removed from his 98 LS and has had 3 removed from his 04 LS already. On his 98 a rock even dented the edge of the hood! The Explorers had some pretty big rock chips but never a ding on the hood.

Glad I have a good ding guy. Just had one removed yesterday.
