Tropi-Care Car Shampoo

Beginner
Got a sample (Red Stuff) a few weeks back and decided to use it today. First off I really like the smell, it suds up very nice and cleans well. Has alot of lubricity, and truck felt very slick when drying with WW. I like this product alot, I will replace my Gold Glass with this stuff when I can. I would suggest this product to anyone.

I tried the green apple colored version of the Tropi-Care wash. I found it to be a very nice shampoo with good suds, lubricity, and a pleasant scent. I liked it better than Meg's Gold Class shampoo, but I did not think it was quite as good as my favorite shampoo at the time (Sonax Gloss).

Does anyone know how the red colored version differs from the green version?

I also had a sample of the green version a few months back. The new version I think is slicker and I like the scent better.

Rabbi,
You're just mean!!! Trying to tempt an addict is NOT NICE!!
Norah

PS - I already have a gallon of Meg's Gold Class Shampoo & a bottle of Mullet Wash - I'm saving my pennies for PB Wash & Wheel Cleaner. No more in between!! (at least til 09/07!)

Thanx John! Much appreciated. I'm not being mean norahcrv I'm tryin' to help a sister out! You have misunderstood my intentions.:lmfao

The green and red are pretty much completely different, with the red being a more nuetral Ph based wash. Like you, I really like the old school green.. that stuff cleaned like no tomorrow.

I tested a couple of car wash variants for Steve @ Tropi-Care a couple of months ago and the current formula he's selling now is the same red stuff that John got. In the testing I did, it was also the product I prefered as well and I did pretty much a blind test, with washes that were all the same color in bottles labeled "Sample 1", "Sample 2", etc.

The new red cleans very well, though and leaves the surface slicker than the green. I think it also suds a little more and has a bit more lubricity than the green.

Thanks for the information JayC. I observed that the green version was not as slick as Sonax Gloss. That was one of the reasons I placed it below Sonax on my preference scale. Since I last tried the green Tropi-Care shampoo, I've found a couple shampoos I like even better than Sonax Gloss: BMW Autoshampoo and a prototype wash made by Poorboy's World. It would be interesting to see how the red version stacks up against those others washes. Has anyone tried those comparisons yet?

Just being nosy.
Have any of you people actually ever used all of a bottle of car shampoo?
I keep seeing all these new shampoos being tried and I probably don't use a gallon in two years. And I wash cars a lot.

I probably use up about half my shampoos. However, I don't necessarily use them to wash my cars. I'll convert them into cleaners for patio furniture, recycling bins, lawn mowers, etc.. I also give/trade away a large portion.
