Tried the PC for the first time today

Today i tried the PC for the first time using Propel green and SSR 2.5 on the hood of my dakota. Looks at alot better, but light swirls are still visible. I think my technique is wrong.

Should i be working in thirds of every panel?

How slow do you really have to move the PC?

A Polish like SSR 2.5, should i start at a low speed to spread the product around? I noticed im dusting very soon.

Any other tips?

A 2' x 2' area is suggested as the ideal amount of space to polish at a time.

I find that if you think you are moving the PC to slow chances are your not :D I make it crawl over the surface to get the results I want. I usually end up doing a 1' x 1' area because I move it so slow I dont want the polish to dry up. Which may be happening to you because you are doing too big of an area (1/3 of a hood at a time is a lot of distance to cover at 1 time). I usually just put the polish on the pad and smear it with the machine off then turn it on. I use very little polish on the pads with the PC so it takes like 2 quick swipes to get it spread out.

You may want to go with a slightly more aggressive pad then, like a cutting pad. (LC, Sonus, Edge etc...)Then clean up with the Propel Green and 2.0......Ya just kind of have to find what combo works for you!

Propel pads arent aggressive enough? I tried it on my door with an Propel Orange? Are there any other pads i can use with the PC that are more aggressive ?

Um, I think there are? Not sure... You might want to try going over the section several times before you jump to conclusions. Try going over it 5 times (apply and spread product at speed 4 left to right, speed 5 up and down, speed 6 left to right again). :buffing:
