Well, I polished out the Regal on Sunday, but didn't wax it until yesterday. I was up in the air about what to use. I ended up trying Wolfgang again (I was sooo close to trying Zaino again after the recent revisit posts, but just didn't want to wash the car yesterday to remove the polishing). Man does that stuff go on easily. I put it on by hand, and it was a cinch.
I QD'd the car before applying the sealant, since it had sat in the garage a day. I used the old cologne smelling one, and was amazed by how slick it made the surface. It was squeaky DACP clean before that, and the QD made it super smooth and slick. The protectant then went on easy as pie. I really like this QD, and it adds a nice shine. Final Detail adds more gloss, but this could easily be a favorite along with FD.
I tried out NXT Tech Protectant on the Regal's tires, which are pretty old (they were cleaned first). I was really impressed with how well it worked. Very nice blackness, and a good gloss/matte look. It also soaked in an looked very even. They looked excellent. :bigups to NXT on tires! I applied it with a tire swipe I got free from WCD with my Cyclo. It's a very very firm foam, which at first seemed strange. I really thought it would suck since it was so firm. But it does a great job because you really press it against the tire to deform it, and so it really works into the rubber. Plus, it has a neat cap you put over it so it doesn't get tire crud all over anything that touches it. :xyxthumbs
I also used ColorX on the windshield. I was looking for a way to try this stuff. It is really great. The application and cleaning was not unlike Zaino Z12, but the ColorX also leaves behind protection and left the glass really smooth feeling. This might be my new favorite on glass. I'll have to see how it beads up and such. Otherwise, Z12 followed by Blackfire is a pretty potent combo. ColorX was certainly easier and cheaper, though.
