Trewax four season boat wax or collinite?

I've been wanting to try some Collinite on my car this winter. Then as I was shopping at Proper Auto Care, I discovered Trewax in their boating section. Has anyone ever used this on their car? If this might be a good alternative to Collinite, then I'd rather get it so I don't have to order stuff from more than one place.

ive got the fleetwax, its a very heavy duty wax. Its great if you just want protection, and it looks awesome on light colors, but less noticeable on darker colors. Most if not all collinite prducts are the same as some have said on here. So, if you want to try out collinite, i suggest you get their superdouble coat car wax or the fleetwax.
 
Thanks hondaguy. I was leaning towards both of those products, but then ran across the trewax. Just trying to kill two birds with one stone by getting everything at one place.
 
Do a search on yahoo. On one website, there is a test of different boat waxes, and Collinite and Trewax pretty much blew all the others away. So I think you would be safe with either one, considering that test was legit. Let us know which one you choose. I am also interested in the Trewax as an alternative.
 
I have used Trewax. I got it at Ace Hardware. It lasts pretty long. I 'll have to try it again,(I still have some on the shelf). I have never tried Collinite, but thought about getting some at Advanced Auto Parts. Trouble is, I have SOOOO many products .
 
TALK ABOUT BRINGING BACK AN OLD POST!!! Anyways, all of my local boat shops stopped selling Coll. 845, so I was wondering if anyone recently has used Trewax?(thats what they sell now) Is it comparable to 845?
 
It has been awhile since I've used the trewax. This winter onc car got the Klasse treatment and the other got Meg's #20 with a few coats with 845. IIR, the trewax wasn't a real looker, the 845 is much better looking. It has been long enough that I can't really comment on the durability to much.
