As many of you know, I have a part-time car detailing business....... LUSTERSHINE (of course).....

Here are some before/after shots of the Mercedes I did on Sunday....

1. Complete interior wipedown with MF and warm water.

2. "Snap out" carpets, steam with Hoover SteamVac. (that's a nice little option on the Mercedes!)

3. Treated leather, vinyl and plastic with 303 and Zaino Leather in a Bottle.

4. Clean & detail door jambs/hinges

5. Engine detail - Simple Green Soak, scrub with long handle tire brush, rinse, add a whole can of tire foam, let soak in, wipe off excess...(tire foam doesn't get gummy...it soaks in)...

6. Wash with Z7 / Clay bar

7. 3M SMR by hand.

8. Z2 x 2

9. Z6

10. Dress wheel wells, tires and rubber trim

11. RainX windows.

$200 for 6.5 hours work.

Customer was very pleased.

(almost forgot, I did the trunk too!)...

Amazing transformation!

Thanks for the side-by-side before's and afters. That thing looked like it had no hope, but it sure does now :)

Is it me or does the last pic show the clearcoat peeling off the rim?

Yes, I called her about that. I told her that the paint was flaking off one of the rims badly. She asked me if I could sand and re-paint it and I have experience in doing that so I sanded and painted it with Duplicolor Silver Wheel Paint. Turned out nice. Actually a very nice match for the other 3.

I also told her not to pressure wash that wheel....

6.5 hours? That's fast!

I am a very "Results-driven" person and I work fast. Really, I do car detailing as much for the cardio-vascular benefit as I do for the end result and when you work fast it's a great workout!

incredible job! looks like a brand new car...

curious: in the engine shots, did you reattach that hose (air intake?) was she driving around without it hooked up?

Yes! As I was cleaning, something in the dark bowels of the engine bay moved and I stuck in my thumb and pulled out an intake tube.

I cleaned it, re-attached it and it probably runs cooler now!:D

Wow. Nice work! Great before and afters.

It will help their resale value considerably if they wanted to sell. $200 well spent.
