Took Some Photo's Today

It was really nice outside today, so I decided to go snap off a few shots to show you guys. Total number of coats of zaino to date starting April 10,2003 = 134



Few swirls that cant be seen in natural light...but they are there and make me angry. The pictures look WAY better higher quality. One thing upsetting about Zaino and my car color is that it has a good reflection but seems dull.

I'm one of the other 10% I guess :) I like Zaino but, I prefer Carnauba. I also like to experiment with different products mainly within Meguiars professional line. Zaino really starts to shine when you get many many coats on and I would keep stripping it off before it got there so for me it is not the right product.



I just finished putting on a layer of Meguiars Medallion Premium Paint Protection last night. Weather has been terrible here rainy and overcast but, I will try to get some new pictures in my gallery this afternoon. I plan to top MPPP with Meguiars #26.



The pic below is of the car after having used another combo that seems to be common among 'Stang owners as well, at least the ones I know :) Meguiars #9, #7 and #26.

Stallion - I haven't forgotten about your PM. I agree with some others on here and prefer a carnauba shine. I think that will give you some added depth to the "flatness" you are experiencing now. More akin to a pool of crystal clear water rather than a mirror.
 
134 coats of Zaino! holy crap! and I thought I was a fanatic!

Sweet car, but there has to be a point where the effort exceeds the benefit of that many coats.:nixweiss
 
Come to Toronto and see/feel my car and how it is prtected by Zaino



Zaino does not have the best shine, so the more coats the better..and it protects better and does no thurt.

Oh there is no doubt about the protection, I would just think the benefit diminishes after a point. I thought I was getting carried away with 3 coats of BF2.

April 10th to October 7th is 197 days (give or take). You've put on 134 coats of Zaino in 197 days?! I'm calling BS on this one.



If it's true, I don't know if I should :bow or :rofl or call the whitecoats to come and take you away (hehe haha the funny farm...).
 
Usually you can put 3 layers of Zaino on in a day if you are using ZFX so that is reasonable.



I am skeptical though that layer 134 actually improved the look or protection anymore than say layer 10 did.
 
Even if you put 3 coats of Zaino on, to get to 134 coats in 197 days you are looking at putting on 3 coats every 4.5 days!
