Too much Poxy?

I used HD Poxy last night for the first time and am wondering if I used to much. When I tried to remove it, there was a remaining "oily" residue that I couldn't seem to polish off, it sort of just smears. If I drag my fingers across the surface I can see the finger marks (for example). I used 3 dabs on each half of the hood, maybe a bit more on the roof. Did I not let it sit long enough? Thanks for any help.

You most likely used too much. 1 oz is enough to do a whole car. Three dabs can do a hood and a side of the vehicle. Maybe 6-8 dabs to do the whole car. Best bet is to prime the pad you are using with 3 dabs and add one dab for each large section. Since almost a day has past, you should be able to wipe off the excess with a microfiber. If it is still not dried enough, you can always remove it with a quick detailer. You can then try going over the car again in a day or so using much less Poxy.

It is possible you used too much. I can do a whole car using 1/2oz or less. Also did you shake the bottle very well?
 
Thanks for the tips! I didn't shake the bottle (seems like it is too thick to shake?), and I definately used too much. Looking forward to trying it again.
 
I used it only once sop far, I shook the bottle for a good 5 minutes, used 3 smal drops on a Gold LC pad using the GG DA speed 3 I applied. 3 small drops did almost half of a 370z. I like using the DA to apply sealants because I get it on thin that way otherwise I kinda apply to thick.
 
You may have also removed it before it had enough time to haze/ cure over. With most sealants/ waxes a good rule of thumb is allowing it to sit for 30 minutes, especially in certain climates where longer is better.
