Tojeiro......The Mistery Car and Very Rare

(UPDATED INFO ON THIS CAR.....

TALKED WITH THE SHOP GUYS AGAIN YESTERDAY, THEY TOLD ME IT IS A 1952 TOJEIRO AND # 1 OF 1 MADE.

WOW, ONLY ONE OF THIS CAR EVER BUILT.

SORRY IF THE PICS AREN'T SHOWING ANYMORE, I'M UPDATED MY GALLERY ON MY WEBSITE SO I HAD TO MOVE SOME OF THEM AROUND.)

Okay, I'll tell the little that I know about this car to start off.

The designer is John Tojeiro, there were only a handful (literally) of this particular model built and John Tojeiro had heavy influence in the auto industry design in his time both overseas and abroad. After this model, he later went on to design the AC Ace and AC Cobra.

The little I know about this model is as follows....

It's completely hand built.

It's hand made from aluminum.

It's designed as a race car.

According to the shop there's between 1-35 made.

What I don't know is.....

The actual name of this model (if it has a name)?

The year it was built? (I'm guessing late 40's though)

How many were actually built?

The general value?

Anyone who knows anything about this particular model, please let me know.

Thanks.

Now onto the pics.

I would not say I actually detailed this, more like a general cleaning and wipe down.

Process is nothing to brag about, basically cleaned the rims with 303, wiped down the interior with 303 and gave it a good Zaino Z8 wipe down......that's about it.

Interior is very basic, looks like everything was designed to save weight.

Next up are the rims, they were very unique, the brake drums are actually bolted to the rims themselves.....

In these next pics you will see the coolest most unique way to latch down the hood and trunk....

Here is the way the designer decided to try to save weight at the time by latching the hood and trunk with leather straps, much like a belt around your waste, I think it's pretty cool myself.:bigups

Here's some more pics as requested.....

the lines on that car are spectacular! That thing is gorgeous. Next to it, the silver car, is that a ferrari or a lambo? Or am I even close?

Yes, you are close, it is a Lamborghini. That particular Lambo was actually owned and driven by Ferruccio Lamborghini himself. The shop has the paperwork and documents to prove that as well.....pretty cool seeing two rare cars in the same setting. :spot :bigups

Wow thats cool that they have the paper work with Ferruccio's name on it. Yeah I thought it might be a lambo. Anyway, sweet car, nice work

Josh- good job. I really enjoy the very rare stuff. Is that Lambo an Islero?

To be honest, I have no idea what kind of Lambo that is:nixweiss , I barely looked at it two times while I was there. I actually had a Ferrari 308 I detailed prior to the Tojeiro so my focus was elsewhere.:waxing:

that car is awesome, very nice job on the paint!

And BTW that is a lambo islero as well as a black 360 (i think), red 430 and a red 308 (or 328) looks like one heck of a shop

Very close, the older one is a 308 I just got finished detailing, then the newer red and black are both 360's.

I'm very fortunate to have such a respected shop want, use and appreciate my services. Don't know if any of you remember the old 1960 Ferrari 250GT I did a few months back, but this shop saw my work and basically called me the next week to start being there detailer. They are a great group of guys as well, fun bunch.:bigups
