Todays Taco detail

Nice day to detail if you like it in the mid/upper 90's. Personally, i hate it, bring on the fall weather!

Anyway, a Silver 03 Toy Tacoma SR5 P/U. Predetail condition was not too bad considering its never been to a detailer, mostly hand washes at home from the previous ownner or the "scratch and dash" variety. I did some scratch repairs yesterday, nothing professional, more of just a preventative measure.

Washed with NRWS/sheepskin after chattin with Spoiledman on the phone this morning. Chris swears by the stuff......I had some initial concern regarding lubricity but increased the qty today and was very happy.

The truck was filled with rust matter, i used 1/2 a bar of gray clay to remove it, then tossed it in the trash.

Polished it out with Four Star Body Shop Light cut Compound, which I found an absolute pleasure to work with. Very minimal dust (may have even been from a new pad, or excessive product due to difficulty of visually being able to pick up the product on the light silver paint). The normal 3 passes with an Orange pad on a 6" BP, speed 6.

Topped with Four Star Ultimate Paint Protectant, via Grey pad speed 6. removed all products with a MF.

Oh, the previous owner sold it to me, its now my daily driver...........!

03 Taco SR5, 45,000, 5spd....I literally "stole" it for less then a song and a dance....

Goodbye $85.00 fillups 13 MPG's, hello $45.00 fillups, 25 MPG!

OK, so I like the stuff enough to buy 4 gallons. What of it?:D:D

Looks good and I think you'll like the ONRWS even more on clean paint. It just glides.;)

Thanks for the persistance Chris, it worked.

Thanks Ima, not the best pics from me, but nontheless, its was fun to try new products without previous evaluations....Makes going in, all the more fun!

Nice truck, my brother-in-law bought a '98 Tacoma and loves it.

The paint has a really healthy glow to it, very nice. :)

Thanks Scott, Thats a good way of depicting its rebirth. The paint although not real swirled, needed clarity & revitalizing. Sharp eye....and thanks again.

The more I look at those pics, the more disgusted i am with them. I'll have to have my son use his 6meg Panasonic digicam tomorrow........Sheeeeesh those are the worst I have ever taken.

Chris, your bill is in the mail! Thanks, :hifive:
