Todays Project: GX 470

Detailed an 03 or 04 GX470 today for my girlfriends bosses wife. I did the interior of his X5 this past weekend but it was nothing too bad, just espresso spilled all over he wanted cleaned up. Anyway, it reached a balmy 55 degrees today so the weather was absolutely beautiful. There are no before pics because I forgot my camera but luckily my girlfriend had to babysit their kids so I did get to take the afters. To give an idea of what I was dealing with they have three kids 9, 5, and 3; typical soccer mom in an SUV interior. The exterior had some nice scratches from a bull-mastif who was jumping on the car last weekend so that was a nice touch too. All in all the job was not bad since we have not seen the 50s since that fluke day about two weeks ago, felt great to be outside. Process was as follows:

Exterior:
- 4* car wash conc.
- Pinnacle wheel gel
- Poorboys clay (a new favorite)
- SSR2.5 @ 1500 (spot polish with some SSR3 on some nasty scratches)
- VM @ 1000
- Souveran (2x)
- Trim restore on exterior plastic
- Wolfgang on the tires/BnB in the wells

Interior:
- Woolite 6:1 on dash and leather
- NL on dash
- Pinnacle leather conditioner
- Mats and carpet by GSRStilez method

Engine (thank you Lexus for a detailer friendly engine bay):
- S&W to clean
- VRT to dress

Thanks for the kind words, although I wish I had the before pics to show how it looked this morning. BTW total time was about 7-7.5 hours, I went the extra mile since my girls boss let me put my business cards in his store.

Wow MS22, that did come out really nicely!! Hopefully your girlfriend gets a promotion after that! :lmfao

Im tryin to think if that is the same color as my tundra. Toyota/lexus paint is probably the same. Anyway, it looks great.

what did u put on the tires? for a high gloss look i kinda like it. i guess the only time glossy tires look good is when the rest looks even shinnier!

There is Wolfgang on the tires but for some reason the tires look shiner than they would in person in the passanger side shot of the car. The dirver side is more of the look; dark black with a nice sheen finish.

Great work!!! That's a big Lexus. LOL

I have an LX in next month for a guy who owns a construction company and occasionally has to haul things in it. That one will be fun . . .
