Today started off rather different, for a change. While fueling up my truck in route to a detail today, i got a phone call from a potential client who wished to meet with me. He expressed some urgency, so we arranged for a meet. I conveyed to him that i was in route to a clients home to detail a couple cars, so I didnt have a lot of time. (I had called my client to inform him i was running late due to a honey-do, he said not a problem, "after all Im married also.")

I didnt want to lose the potential for this meet, so we exchanged info regarding what we were driving, although due to cell reception, i wasnt able to determine what he was driving, other then it was "gray"....lol. This gentlemen was already in town, and i would have felt bad if i couldnt arrange this.

So, 10 minutes pass, Im sitting in this parking lot, (Doug, Joe, you know where i am). Im the only car in the lot at this time, and Im getting a little concerned about time and consideration for my detail client. A few more minutes pass, and this "Porsche" pulls into the parking lot. This was a beautiful machine, and best of all, it was Gray. This was the man on the phone, and heres the car............

2007 Turbo Carrera, forgive me for not knowing the porsche color.....

We shot the breeze and talked business for about 15 minutes, just long enough for me to snap some photos.

Well, reality soon swooped over me, he was off to work on his new Corvette (cant wait to see that one!) and I was off to todays details.

Its probably been about 6 months since I last saw the two of these.

Some products used were white, green pads, Duragloss 111, Optimum polish, Mothers Reflections tire care, Duragloss Wheel Cleaner, and Charliesoap...

nice client aquisition there!

On duragloss 111? What are its differences over 105 ? Durability? SHine? Reflectiveness?

Ths is actually the first time I have used it. I have tested it on some surface areas before, but I went a little furher this time. I used a PC with the RR, but put in on by hand on the Porsche, i seriously dont know why I did that either. I use a PC for every aspect of surface care, but opted for a suede MF with the Porsche. I failed to mention that about 1 hr after I was done with the exterior, i went over it with AW and a MF. It appeared to even things out a little better. Not darker or deeper, just evened it out somewhat. It was funny watchin the owner attempt to put on his carcover....Not a chance by yourself.....lol, he couldnt keep both ends of the cover on top of the car, at the same time.

Anyway, back to your question......Im not sure of its differences with 105. I picked up a Mercedes while doing the two above, and have another Porsche next weekend. I'll get some 105 in sooner or later!

Beautiful work on both of your details. What was Porsche man's urgency? His car looked amazing from the photos. Was the car scratched up or something? Looking forward to seeing it again after you've had a chance to work your magic upon it.

He had some issues with its current condition, and just wanted some advice...............He has a PC, but just needed some advice for confidence.....he had been using ahem...Zymol. I didnt have the heart to tell him to try something else.
