Todays detail, 05 GT. Beautiful Torch Red Mustang GT, with some hazing from an eager learner who just couldnt quite get it right the first time out with a PC and SSR 2.5. Andy if your reading, help me with the details... I think Andy tried using an ornage pad with some PB's 2.5. It left considerable hazing, which orange can do. He tried his hardest,and I think he thought he had it right, but after further inspection, he thought it best to seek additinal help, after he put 3 layers of SG on it. Gentle wash with some EO suds, then a clay treatment. I taped off an area of the hood to show Andy what products I thught would work best. Started with Optimum Polish (I should have brought the new Compound!) and a green pad. That helped a little after 3-4 passes. Split the hood in 1/2 again, then went with Optimum and an Orange pad, that was better, the other 1/2 was a Green pad and SSR 2.5, and that was the best. Went over the entire vehicle, then went back with Optimum and Green Pad. Sealed with BF, let sit for about 40 minutes, wiped free. let it sit in the sun for 3-4 minutes, re-wiped, and buffed with PC and MF, (didnt have my bonetts).
