Cramped quarters for this little beauty! With recent rains, I had mud on one side, and wet grass on the other side. My body is stiff this morning from having limited area to work in. Anyway............long story short:
This Bimmer had never seen a coat of wax since th dealer applied it (way back). This was originaly a lease model, but the owner decided he wanted to keep it. He takes it to the scratch and dash .5 miles away when he has time. Amazingly, the paint didnt show any real signs of weathering or marring, a true testament to Bimmer paint! The worst part, and one of the most time consuming, came in the way of actually getting to the metalflake. Every inch of this car had heavy fallout on it, naturally the rear deck and bumpered suffered the worst.I was able to get out what looked and felt to be about 95%.
A quick before............
And a 4 hour, after.........
I used old version Optimum Clay, Einszett MP, and sealed with Einszett Glanz. What a beautiful pair of product they are........
Sorry for the lack of better pics, space was limited and decent shots were hard to come by.
