Todays detail, 07 325i, Steel Grey

Another dream detail, fresh off the floor, well a few months old. The owner was really just seeking light corrections (Wash/dry induced). Water was an issue being in a garage, so I brought the NRWS and 1 Gal mister along.

Wheels had the typical break in dusting, on clear coated wheels, so nothing too difficult to remove, but it gave me a chance to play with a new toy, and the White Knight Powerstick.

Pre soaked with just water, then used the DG All Wheel Cleaner.

Added a little FS Ult. Tire Gel for looks for the final touch at the end.

I started off with the UDM, white pad, and DG Pre Cleaner 652. This was my first time really going kind of balls out with it. Although the paint didnt really need oxidation removal, but rather just a very light polish and chemical cleaning. 652 really hit the nail on the head, lucky choice I guess? The products light abrasives really did a great job. It dusts very very lightly, and it could have been due to the real low humidity we have been having, near single digits. All in all, the dust really wasnt an issue. Good lubrication, and very good workability. Followed up with my favorite synthetic, Four Star UPP.

And a thank you to the owner for passing these pics along to me. I wasnt having much luck with my camera as you can witness in the dirty wheel shot.

Awesome job on the entire detail. How do you like the DG wheel cleaner and how did you clean the tires?

Great work on the paint as well that car looks awesome after the detail.

It almost looks like a sawed-off toilet brush hooked onto a drill.

+1 doesn't look safe.

Bah........We're talkin clear coated wheels here folks.........It actually (the fibers) breaks down with use and gets softer. He has more issues with curb rash then with this device.

Unless your using a sponge or BH brush as an alternative, i dont see any issues with it.

Wow, must have dirtied alot of towels cleaning those wheels huh? What is NRWS?

Andrew

No Rinse Wash and Shine. Its a hoseless method of washing vehicles. I used a total of 2-2.5 Gals of water to detail this entire car. Great stuff when used within its boundaries.

Neat toys!! The car looks great, i really dident find the DG wheel cleaner to be that good on lots of build up but i dident have a 19v drill and cool attachement!!

I would have rather soaked the wheels with some WB and used my hose with warm water to hose it off and then washed with some APC and a normal brush and sponge. but it looks great now .

Interesting, no need for water on those rims! I've considered ONR but it varies with the condition of the wheel.

Looks great Patrick, but the carwash just called, and wants their brush back...:nana:

Its not for everyone, but when someone asks "How do you clean crud off your wheels?", I have an answer......Same wih the Powerstick, that me and Pat cherish. You dont realize the benefits of these wheel tools until you have encountered a difficult situation......
