Todays detail: 06 Acura TSX

Ive done several TL's before, and always considered them among my favored Acuras. Today, I detailed this 06 TSX, which on the outside, had beautiful paint, and was also well maintained by its owner. It just needed a little spicing up. The owner is a little aprehensive about a PC, hopefull as this detail grows on him this weekend, he'll hopefully change his mind. He said that this was a test to see if there was such a difference, that he would need to change his techniques. I turned him onto some UPP and UGE for maintenance.

This detail consisted on ONR, Four Star BS LCC, then Duragloss #111. Wheels cleaned with Duragloss All Wheel Cleaner, tires with Charliesoap, then dressed with a new favorite of mine, Sprayway 932 Hi Gloss Tire Protectant and Cleaner. Interior dressed with 303.

Sprayway has always been a favorite glass cleaner for me, so i looked a little deaper into the company and product line. He was actually in my area (his territory) dropping products off and meeting with clients, so we decided to introduce ourselves and chat for a bit.

I figured its been a while since I posted any pics of recent details, so here we go!

Came out really nice. :xyxthumbs

How is the ONR for you, is it time consuming and what preps do you do for an outside wash such as this one.

But what is this charliesoap, and this sprayway you speak of.:hm

The only thing time consuming is filling up a bucket with water. Other then that, your wash tactics remain the same. I dont normally have a "set-up" as about 95% of my details are done at the clients home. The property owner at this location, "apparently" green light mobile operators to wash. Although we're dictated by county officials to have a containment system for the water. (We're taking 2.5-3 gals here max. Even when I dump the water, it doesnt make it to the storm drain)

So, no time consumption, and zero set-up, doesnt get a whole lot easier.

As for Charliesoap, its an all purpose cleaner, biodegradeable soap. Sprayway is the tire dressing i used. Its not available as of yet.....

Nice job, that silver is poppin'. yeah this wind is killing me constantly layering my car in dust! :nervous:

+1 on the wind. There's a dumpster full of sawdust behind my work and the wind is re-depositing it all over everyone's car. I hate it. Then the rain we had 2 days ago just made a total mess.

Nice work on the TSX Patrick, those cars are starting to grow on me more and more.

Chris, I almost called you this afternoon. I hit a wall with this Escalade I was doing.........The Porsche? Not a problem. American made? YIKES..........

Nice job there. I would have never known SprayWay was making something to protect tires. Unlike Stoner's, I never got the impression that their product was meant for auto.

Speaking of wind, my car was just washed yesterday and today looks just about as dusty as it was prior to yesterday's wash. All that work for nothing.
