Todays Detail, 05 Carrera

Its been 8 months since I was last at "Derfs"place. I love this car, as most Carreras i get to work on. Just something mystical about the hips one of these machines. Ya just want to sit there with your PC and massage the hips all day. Derf likes to get her fingers dirty, and I would too if it was mine. She recently purchased some 50/50 from Chem Guys, and it was evident in the way it felt. There was a nice little layer of protection on board. But then again, with about 99% of Nuba pastes, if you dont get the residue, it shows. I exlained to Derf that you need to stop a little shy of the PPF. She has a full bumper kit and 1/4 hood, as well as the standard issue 12mm ahead of the rear wheel well.

Heres the buildup Im referring too:

And heres afterwards:

But this is a heck of a lot easier to deal with , then swirls from neglect. So my hats off to Mrs Derf. I wish every client was as exuberant as she is. :2thumbs:

She even keeps a little purple MF towel and 8oz'er of Speed shine tucked away in the door for those delicate emergencies.

So, on to todays detail:

NRWS bath

New CCS White

Einzett Metallic Polish

Einzett Glanz Wax

FS APC for wheels

FS Tire Gel for tires

And I have to say, it was a pure pleasure working with the two Einzetts.

Easy on, great workability, excellent finishing polish. I chose this as the paint really just needed some spot SMR and light cleaning. An overall refreshener. And thats due to the owners vigillant effort to maintain a machine in proper order. If she could change the oil herself, i bet she would.

The CCS pad was a pleasure also, i have some mixed feelings, but it could have been operator error, so I'll test it again soon.

I was getting ome chatter from the PC. I dont know if my brushes are going bad, or if the pad was wearing a little, or if it was polish buildup or just a combination o all of the above. But I had never experienced it before. Derf, if your watching, it was on the last panel, and Im not telling where I started either!!

Derf, let me know what you think about the Einzett finish!

Excellent job Patrick! The paint looks so wet in the after shots. :)

I think you will really like Glanz Wax, very wet and glossy and pretty durable to boot.

Scott, i really like the Glanz Wax. Very similiar to Sg when applying, but nowhere near the same removing........Its a definite keeper.......

So far the Einzette products are 3 for 3 with me!

Awesome work Patrick. Its good to see 1Z products getting some play. I find them to be awesome. With all of the other boutique products out there you don't hear much about them anymore.

Wow thats something :2thumbs:

1Z Glanz, how durable is this comparing with PW(pink wax). I dont know any 'nuba wax can't last more than 3-4 weeks on the north east coast winter time.

Pat, its something I have just recently tried. I have been quite impressed with the PP and MP, as well as just stunned with the ease of use and looks/feel of the Glanz wax.

KLNYC, are you referring to FK's pink wax?

I feel the way Pat,

1Z Glanz Wax is an excellent LSP for a showcar finish. Easier to apply than SG/AJ, buffing is probably the easiest LSP available, no trim staining, no residual, leave a wonderful appearance and a little goes a long way.

Can't understand why no air time?
