I havent seen this TL in about a year, due to both of our scheduling conflicts as well as weather related issues. And it showed.........I went through a plethora of products trying to find the rigt combo. I started with a QEW wash (Getting rid of the last of it) then a Orange pad and and Optimum Compound (which did a great job, and I should have stopped there and trusted my first instinct). But for some reason i wanted to try one final polishing stage. And thats where the trouble began. I went with the PoliSeal and a green pad, hoping the finer abrasives would have finished out any marring the OC and Orange left behind. Well, it just didnt work that way. So, a new green pad, and some Einzett Metallic polish, that helped but actually left more marring then the OC, in the right angles. Next up, Duragloss 105 and VM. Again, hoping for the finer abrasivess to bing a little additional pop on this NBP. That worked good, but I was a little concerned about durability, so I tried the new Glanz wax with a dash of VM mixed in. That was the perfect ticket......

Wheels got the DG AWC, and Freedom Waterless as a final, tires FS Ult Tire Protectant Gel, interior got DG 441 then 221, dash and trim rec'vd 321 NSD.

It was a good chance to try a few items I had not used, all in all, a good day, in about 4 hrs time....

Hey I had my hands full when you called!! I was going to call on the way back home but got frustrated with traffic on the 101 and forgot!

very nice turn around. in the front before pics, i thought those were alloy rims. but the after shot showed the chrome.

Nice work Patrick! yesterday I washed my car and got water spots for the first time in awhile. Today's supposed to be hotter and I believe I might be doing my sister's car. I'm not looking forward to the heat!

yeah... i know what you mean, it's suppose to be 95 degrees tomorrow!

Looks beautiful in the afters, Patrick. :)

Odd that you had such a tough time after using OC finding the right combo. I bet OP and either a polishing or finishing pad would have worked. Well, maybe? :nixweiss

Scott, the OC worked nearly flawlessly, as usual, but I had an itch I needed to scratch, and wanted to try and follow up a little sweeter. (See what you guys do to me?) I should have stopped with the OC, it was really fine with it and the Orange. (Thats my usual routine).

That NBP can be a tough color. I was real happy, as was the owner, with the outcome. Its hard to just stick to your instincts when you have combos and products you want to try....lol

talk about a tiring 6 hours today....in the heat...I was up by the fires, well in yorba linda today doing a few cars....boy was it hard to not stop and chug a water every 30 minutes...I think i ended up drinking about a gallon total today!

i was at a couple locations parallel to the fires, but on the way home about 5 minutes from those location, I was driving through it with my windows up and the AC blasting...and I could still smell it through the AC....it was pretty bad! and the cars nevertheless had dust all over them by the time I got the owners out of their houses to come check it out and give them their keys....I was pissed, but they were cool with it...LOL
