To buy an Ipod or not to buy an Ipod...

My bro got me a $100 GC to Best Buy as a college grad present and I also got A LOT of money from other relatives so I thought I would treat myself to something from Best Buy. I've wanted an Ipod for a while so I could have mp3's in my truck and to get all the music off my laptop so I thought an Ipod would be the best thing...and for when I'm biking or exercising(when I finally motivate myself) and it would be nice for taking to the beach since I'm moving to Myrtle Beach June 15th. I don't play video games that much, I have all the stereo stuff I need, so that doesn't leave much else to get from Best Buy. I want the silver Ipod mini along with the FM transmitter that is attached to the car cigarette lighter plug that acts as a charger and a display so you can see the Ipod while driving to change songs or whatever. That thing is $99 though so I might hold off on that till my b-day June 14th. ShouldI treat myself to it since I already have $100 towards it and there is nothing else from Best Buy that I want right now? PSP is also an option but I dont think that is practical because I don't think I would actually use it. I need your opinions by 2pm! thanks

I really, really, really enjoy my iPod. Very easy to use, lots of music with you all the time, nice design. If you like to listen to music I don't think you can go wrong by getting one.

:yeah

From your description I have the same adapter for the car & I'm very happy with it.

Congratulations on your graduation & enjoy your tunes!! :D

I did end up buying an iPod mini in silver yesterday along with the Belkin car tune dock that plugs into the cig lighter plug. I love the iPod so far. It only took maybe 15 minutes to transfer 587 songs from the laptop to my computer. The Belkin tune dock works pretty well. it plugs into the cig lighter and then you put the ipod into the dock and it charges the ipod and it has the built in FM transmitter so I can play the songs through my cd player in the truck. It works pretty well..little static every once in a while but over all its great. I'm thinking about going back to get the 3 year warranty on it just to be safe along with the stereo adapter(plug into home receiver) and a good case and arm case for taking to the beach or working out/biking. Thanks for helping to make the decision to get one easier to make.

I am not a big fan of the extended warranty, but if it makes you sleep better go ahead and get it. Everything else is a no brainer.
