Tire shine

I currently use zaino but now that I have the whole black theme going on I often find that the tires don't quite keep up with the paint and the wheels. I want to try something that is a very high gloss and very shiny.

I also want something that will not sling up all over everything when I drive.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

So you have used the Z16, but want glossier?

Yep I have used zaino tire shine for the past few years and never had any complaints until I got my wheels powdercoated black. I guess I just want to try a shinier tire.

Z16 is probably the best tire dressing I have found, it's nice and glossy and lasts a decent amount of time. Doesn't sling either, which is important to me. Only thing from Zaino that I would use.

You could try Pinnacles Black Onyx. It's not cheap, but it's the best gel dressing I have found.

EDIT: Also I find that water based products (Z16) need a real clean base before working well. I use Purple Power undiluted on my tires to get all the crap off once a month or so. Just spray it on and scrub with a stiff brush and wash off.

I saw your pictures in C&B and it looks like your tires are all streaky. Try cleaning them and you may be satisfield with 2 coats of z16.

Meguiar's Insane Shine gives that high gloss look and doesn't sling for me.

Applied and let it dry. No wipe down after application.

I wiped it down after application on this tire. You can pretty much choose the degree of shine you want with this product. You want wet glossy leave it dry. You want less shine, wipe it down.

I use RL Exterior Tire and Trim Dressing and works very well. I applied 2 coats and let it dry and it doesn't sling at all. I'm one who likes to try different products on tires. I also use on chrome their Chrome and glass polish.

I hate getting tire sling since my finish is black so it really makes a mess. What I find works well is to put the tire dressing on before washing, and let it dry for at least 5-10 min (or longer if possible) Then when I'm washing the car I'll spray the hose up close to the tire to wash off any excess. This completely eliminates the sling! (at least it does with the Turtle Wax Wet n Black stuff I use) The one thing is that it does dull the shine a little bit, but that doesn't bother me because I prefer the slightly less shiny look on my tires anyhow.

I use a product from ProKem called super shine trim gel, very glossy and a little goes a long way, in my experience, the key to sling as making sure there isn't any sitting in the treads or wheel lip
