Tire Dressing applicators

Check out this thread

I've been using the cheap scrubbing pads from the 99 cent store. They're bigger than the ones shown in that picture and have somewhat of a grip. They come 5 to a pack, so around 20 cents each. They work well, but are a bit messier than the normal Eagle One tire swipes and require a bit more work. If cost isn't too much of an issue, the Eagle 1 tire swipes are probably the easiest to use. They're about $2 for a pack of two at Walmart.

Echo, echo, echo...

The EO swipes are not only easy, but I only have to use about 3-4 "dosages" of 303 per tire--a great thing when it is so expensive. I've also washed mine about 12 times apiece and they hold up fine.

This past summer I got loads of three packs of tire wipes identical to Eagle One from Dollar Tree. Check them out especially when the weather gets better, maybe they'll be stocking them up again.

Thinksnow, How do you wash your applicators?

I went to dollar tree when that last thread was started and could'nt find any. Guess I'll have to keep checking.

The ones I use at 12/$1 they last me bout 5 uses each and I throw them out. Works out to +/- $0.02 per use.

I used to use a regular sponge type app. too. But once I started using the eagle one type I don't think I can go back. It can get messy but if I use the same product they last me at least a couple of months.

I just bought these from a dollar store. 4 for $1.25. I did see the ones Jesstzn have but I think they're a little small for SUV tires so I bought the larger ones.

Since they are a soft/firm FOAM applicator, I just throw them in with my mf's with med. wash temps. I don't dry mf's or foam and neither the foam nor the mf will lint on the other.

Eagle One wipes are ok but they do get all slimy around the handle at times. I have used the rags that you can get at hardware stores that are like the sweater material and are all different colors, these work well.

I like the EO tire swipes.....I would suggest buying a box of the plastic handgloves (like the ones used in doctors offices) and just throw it away when you finish. No slimy mess to deal with.

I use the EO type. I don't wash them. In fact, I'm about to throw out the one that I've used for at least three years. It is really uber-nasty at this point.
