Time to experiment.? BF over Zaino....

Has anyone applied BF over Zaino? Are they compatible? Will the solvents in BF degrade the polymeric structure of Zaino? I am just looking for something to alter the boredom of just using one product. Zaino results are fantastic but like everyone here at Autopia would like to try a new product or procedure every so often. Not looking for durability but maybe a unique appearing finish. Any views/reviews? :wavey

I havent tried BF over Zaino, but I have put Z5/ZFX over half a BF'd panel and it bonded. I can easily see where I put the Zaino because of the beading compared to the rest of the BF'd panel. I really can't tell any difference in appearance though.
 
Yes. I had no problems with bonding, and switched back and forth between Zaino and BlackFire. The top coat dominates the appearance, so if its Z it reflects light like crazy and if its BF it has a deeper color.



I can never make up my mind... but in the winter it has to be Z.



IMO, The BF looks better when first applied (bright blue pearl paint) but does not maintain as easily as Z. Dirt seems to stick to the BF surface but with Z I can go for quite a while just using the California Duster.
