Time For a New Cell Phone

Just One More Coat
I'm coming up on my free upgrade and want to get a new cell...I'm currently using the razor its been an OK phone, the size is the best thing that I like about it.

What's some of the better phones out today....Don't want an iPhone to much technology for me.

The phones that are offered with the upgrade are not that great so I just use the cash to go towards the one I want.

Thanks

It depends on what you want the phone for.
I'm kind of old school and use mine for phone calls. :)
The Motorola 323i was considered to be one of the best for reception in fringe areas and based on my experience, that has been the case.
It has a camera and probably some other features, but I have no idea what they might be. Seems to work good for phone conversations, though.

I would have gotten an Iphone if I had not just gotten an Ipod, plus the fact that I get a discount on them. But even with their new price and my discount its still to much.

I have a Razor as well, and I am with you, other then its size, its not that great of a phone.

I am leaning towards getting a Pearl.

Thanks pretty cool web site...I like the Blackberry line they seem to have a good rep in the industry....I also think that you and I are the only ones watching DC today:D

Sheesh...I've got a razr (with Cingular/AT&T) and I absolutely love it. The size is perfect and the quality has been great thus far. My wife and I both bought razrs at the same time and we both really like them.

I'm not sure of what else is out there that is any good...hope fully more people will chime in here with some better advice for ya.

Whatever you do don't buy a 'cheap' phone as they often are the cause of dropped calls. I've got a few friends who have bought 'cheap' phones and they are the ones who always seem to drop when we're talking.

1: Thanks for being a customer:bigups

2: I just have had bad luck with mine...ever few hours if I don't shut it off and turn it back on it doesn't always work. My wife likes hers mainly because its pink.

I have the verizon g'zone it is waterproof shockproof and has very good reception. I kept breaking my other phone and the guy suggested this one and i think its the best have droped it sevral times and its still going strong.

P.S. Sorry steve for suggesting verizon

Good can you get me a good deal on a phone and a better monthly rate....thanks in advance:D

Just kidding

I've been with ATT threw all the buyouts for 10 plus years....I think it was Cellone as I recall.

I'm also looking at using them for my in house service net, phone and TV

Any ideas on that?

Most Nokia phones are very good:

1) Durability - they really last. Look around. Some people have nokia phones that are so beat up that you can hardly read the display and they still work. I had my 6600 for 2.5 years now and still going strong.

2) Better reception. For I reason I don't know, nokia phones have recption where others don't. When I worked at T-Mobile that was a major thing

I had Nokia's for years great phones, when over the MO because they had smaller phones that's what I like

Beemerboy, if you are even considering a crackberry, make sure you look into the iPhone. The iPhone is much more use friendly. The Blackberry is not a user friendly operating system. The iPhone is very user friendly. Just do not deny new technology. It is not going away. I know the iPhone is a lot more fun than my old razr. If I could get my old startac to work again iwould love to have that phone again.

By the way i am on the forum more now using the eye phone than ever. It is slower than my computer but it sure is lighter.

I can get a discount on the phone, but I can't get you one on the plan.

We are rolling out with a service called Uverse. Like Verizons Fios. Its Fiber service. You get you TV including HD and DSL on one pipe.

I am not familiar with Californoia's rollout but I can see based on you hometown, I will check tomorrow at work...it helps that I am in engineering for that product.

The music is nice, but the phone has a ton of options. The camera and digital recorder are top notch for cell phones as well. I just really like the interface and how well the phone works. It will hold up to frequent drops as well.
