It is used on clothes to do exactly what it says, rip threads. Fits in prefect behind those labels and find a couple threads and pull it through the threads. If your carefull enough it cuts just the threads that hold the tag and nothing else, no loose threads, no tag. Found it to work better than scissors, knife, or utility knife. Should be able to find them at Wal-mart in the sewing section.
