thinking ahead (winter marketing)

Might be a little early, but i'd rather be preparred. I'm thinking of launching a mail campaign for my existing customers. It would be a card/brochure explaining how they can get a deal on 4 maintenance washes/vacuuming through the winter months, where the last wash would be a full spring clean-up with claybar and full interior cleaning. They would have to purchase the whole package up front. Just thinking about some preliminary pricing, something like $50 each maintenance wash and $100 for the spring clean up. This compares to $60 for my maintenance washes and $160 for a spring clean up (aka, my stage I package). So $250 vs $340-almost a $100 savings.

I want to show old customers i'm still alive and all customers that it's possible to maintain a clean car through the winter months with my services. I feel like i'm missing something though?

I always push the interior jobs throughout the winter. The nasty salt slush can wreak havoc on an interior and I've found that people are pretty happy to keep their interiors looking nice and let the outside kinda fall to the wayside during the winter. Push for interior maintenance as well. Extracting interiors is a good upsell.

Make sure you market them pre-Christmas. Folks might buy these packages and give them as gifts.

Good ideas, it's always smart to be prepared for some slower winter months ahead. Winter time is also a great time to get your business cards, and your face in front of everyone else in the automotive industry for referrals. It will pay off come spring time.

Good point-i would definately have to mention gift certificates.

I don't mean to sound sexist or anything, but this definitely works with wifes that have car-loving husbands.
