Thinking about going mobile?

I've been detailing in my garage and I've been thinking about going mobile. Kind of new to this and if anyone could show me some pictures or how to get started, that'll be great!

Not sure what I need in a mobile detailing company. Thanks!

Well, you got lots of research to do. Can't really show it with a picture. Start with a business plan...man wish I did.

That's what I thought too. Cause I honestly have no idea how a mobile works? Bring your own water/electricity or use the clients?

If you want to be professional and charge premium prices, you should come with most everything you need, including generator and water. With products such as ONR, this all gets much easier. I carry a 5 gallon water cube filled with softened water. In most cases, a customer will let you hook up to electricity and water if needed. It is always better to not have to ask though.

Tell your clients that you require water and electricity to complete the detail. 9 out of 10 times (on Long Island, NY) my clients are home owners and prefer the service of not having to drop-off and pick up the car.

If you don't have a truck or van, make sure your vehicle looks good and you appear professional. A "company shirt" sets you apart from the "Craigslist Specials" that most people try and avoid.

If there is no water... look into a waterless car wash product. (For emergencies!)

How much water do you usually use on a full detail brwill2005?

To actually wash; 2-3 gallons. This is if I do not rinse first with the electric pressure washer. If I do that, I hook up to the customer's water. Maybe another 1-3 gallons for the carpet extractor, depending on the size of the vehicle.
