I was detailing a 2000 Buick Century today... loaded with scratches..so bad I had to pull out my rotary polisher to begin the buffing process!
After I finished using the rotary, I was in the process of removing the foam cutting pad I was using when the entire backing plate came apart.
It' is a 3M velcro backing plate...and I have had it for just 9 years!!!
As you can see, the title of my post was made in jest!
