The Worst Things Ever Done to a Corvette!

hello all and I apologize for the sad nature of the post.

about a month ago I purchased this RSX and I love it. After multiple coats of Zaino she was starting to look beautiful. I definetely need to work on my technique and try to find a shady area to wash her but those are things that I will have to wait until after it RETURNS FROM THE BODY SHOP!

Yes it seems that my subconsious didn't like how the rear fender looked so I backed into an F-150. Fortunately the man that owns the truck could care less as the damage to his truck is a couple of scratches on his bumper. However my car will need a new bumper and the left rear quarter panel will have to be repaired. I guess I'm just bummed and needed to vent a little.

Sorry to hear that it happened..but look on the bright side, you and that other guy were not injured, there is no big damage to your car (like frame damage), and mechanically, the car is still fine.

Pretty soon that car will blind people with its shine again!

Sorry to bum you out more but your quarter panel will never look the same. :( I had my fender and bumper damaged last year in an ice related accident. The paint looked great after it was painted. Near perfect brand new condition. You could not even tell it was repaired. I was lucky it only needed slight body filler in the deep scratches in the plastic. Then I noticed slight underspray underneath in the weel wells. Then I washed the car a few times and noticed some waves in the paint and how the paint was a little lighter on the inside fender part that runs over the wheels. For an average driver it would look great. But when it is your own baby you notice these little things. The car was 21 months old and the body shop guy said when I first brought in "It must kill you to see your new car damaged". He couldn't believe it was almost three years old, and this was using only Meguiar products.

2nd on the El Corvetto. I kinda liked it! It actually looks like it was pretty well executed.

I know most of them are gross, but to me the worst ones are the older cars. It's not like there is a shortage of C5's and they need to be saved, but seeing the 60's cars butchered could make even a Ford guy shed a tear!
