I Finally had a chance to my wifes new car, It's a steel grey 05 Sonata.
The paint has alot of flake and I and I don't think the camera really caught it.

Process was:
Washed w/NXT car wash
Clayed
SSR1 (in a few spots)
PwC blue
EX
Natty's blue 2X
Tires dressed w/ BnB
Wells dressed w/ diluted BnB

I took the tripod out of the basement and got picture happy so there are 2 batches of pics

I must say that Hyndia's paint has gotten better, the 2000 which this one replaced had runs, and was literally had C/C drip marks. this one only had one noticable flaw and the color seems very consistant for all it's flake.

Congrats Jay...how do you like the car..we were browsing last night, since we need to replace the new Equinox which is getting all of 12.5mpg:nono

That does look nice Jay and I really like the color a lot.

Hyundai has steadily improved their cars over the years; that is a far cry from the hatchback my sister had back in 1989 - we called it the plastic car. Many people think that Korea is close to challenging Japan in terms of quality, reliability and value.

Great job Jay! I really like the front of the car. It really resembles jaguar deisgn particularily around the lights. Great job and congrats.

Thanks everybody,
Mtodde, we actually changed the model (we were get the GLS) because we wanted that color and it wasn't available in the GLS so we went for the GL w/ a 4cyl and the sunroof (how come she gets the sunroof)

I'll be the first to admit, when my wife got the first Hyundai, I was thinking :doh
but I was quite suprised, the car rode really nice and had quite a bit of power.

When she brought it home she said the salesman said to be careful you won't notice how fast your going, and I thought it was a sales pitch, first time I drove it I was doing almost 75 and didn't feel it!

The 06 is even nicer... 165HP 4 cyl and a 235HP V6, and the V6 states it gets 30MPG on the highway, but of course the price is going up as well as the quality.
Here a link to their page Sonata .

And to think I drive a V6 with 140HP and I only get about 24 MPG, maybe its time for me to get a new car too :D
