The Wife-mobile gets "Turtled."

Finally gave in to all the wife`s "hinting" to clean her car. I figure I`ve been harping on Hybrid Solutions, so I thought that I had better use it on her car too.

I won`t post about the wheels and tires since I already did in the "Torture Test" thread, so onto the body work.

Wash - Meg`s Hyper Wash - I should be using the HS Slick & Slide since this is a `Turtle post,` but I Have a ton of HW left and I don`t want to waste it.

Polish - HS Polish & Wax, by machine, with a Meguiar`s maroon cutting pad, speed 6 on the PC.

Wax - HS Pro To the Max Wax X2, by hand using a foam applicator (works MUCH better than a MF applicator) 12 hours apart, I have to work today, so I didn`t have 24 hours to wait.

Rims - HS Ceramic Spray Coating. I`ve pretty much switched to the Hybrid Solutions Pro line for the paintwork, so since I have the Ceramic Spray Coating, I might as well use it on something.

With the polish and wax, how was the wipe off for you? The bottle mentions using a damp microfiber followed by a dry one?

Wipe off was fine. I I used a bit less than the recommended amount and didn`t work it very long. I didn`t need a damp towel at all.

Looks good. Can’t believe the turn around the Turtle has done. Meanwhile at Meguiars it seems the boys in the lab are asleep.

I was asking because the trim looks nice, was it that way before, did you do something to it, or did the Max Wax give it that nice "new" look?

All I did to the trim was wash it when I washed the car (Hyper Wash only) and since Max Wax DOESN`T leave any white residue anywhere, I just went over the trim while I was coating the paint.

I was a Meguiar`s nut, but I never liked how `oily` their products were. It seemed that no matter what you used, there were oily smears lef t behind. Not so with the Turtle, especially if you follow the directions and use the "Damp towel/Dry towel" removal method.

I think Meguiars has always been overrated. Gold Class car wash has never impressed me. Their compounds are good but Griots seem to be a notch better.
