The Wen cordless; any feedback? And, specific Qs.

First, I know it's not going to be a tool for serious damage control, but who's used it, and is it acceptable for use in areas with no juice?

Second, is the Wen the same tool that Meguiar's sells, and is it the same one that DavidB reviewed perhaps a year or two ago?

Third, if so, then the same tool that Meg's has for $80 and that TOL has for $60, Pep Boys has on sale for $30.

LOL, I found everything I needed to know with a search, after posting.

My conclusion is, if I'm going to blow $30, this is a better choice than a case of cheap wine. OTOH, if I can get halfway through the day without thinking about it again, then I probably won't get it, and I certainly don't need it.

hello Mosca,

first i want to thank you for starting the thread on all the cars that we have owned. brought a lot of memories for me and it was good for me.

back to the topic. when i decided to become an autopian i had a different idea than i have now. i did not want to spend money to make my car shine. so i passed on a pc 7424 because it was to expensive and purchased a wen da from top of the line. could not wait for it to come and used it as soon as i charged the batteries. it was most dissapointing for me because the charge did not last long enough to do my whole vehicle. i got on line and ordered another battery to help the cause. with that order i ordered more pads and microfiber bonnets. all in all the wen does work but... it was a complete dissapointment to me and i went a head and purchased the 7424 and all the extras that are needed to do the job. this tool has surpassed my expectations.

so to answer your question, it does work but is not acceptable IMHO!

cannot comment on the other two questions.

so, if you do want to buy it i have one with two batteries and charger with pads and microfiber bonnets that i will sell to you or any one who is willing to pay 50 dollars plus the shipping.
